On November 3, 2007 Moviesign made a Forge map in Halo® 3, and set up what his girlfriend of over two years (furtive penguin) thought was going to be a two-on-two match with his friends. They started the game and Moviesign led furtive penguin to a spot where he claimed he’d put an energy sword.

Instead there was a nice top-down view where he had spelled out a proposal in weapons. He then asked her to be his teammate for life.

She said yes.

She said yes.

Furtive penguin and Moviesign recently moved from Indianapolis to Chicago where she (penguin) is a copyeditor and he (Movie) is a graphic designer. They haven’t set a wedding date yet. As furtive penguin said, “We’re waiting to see what the release date is for the next Halo game. We don’t want any conflicts.”

Congratulations to furtive penguin and Moviesign from the entire Xbox community!

I’ve been a bit busy lately, I’ll try and get a proper entry posted soon.

…and you will be sent there upon the slightest sign of deviance.

So, it’s been two weeks since my last entry. I’m sure you’re expecting a very good explanation…
Well, I kind of don’t have one.

In the first week, I got Halo 3. And like CrazyKinux and Winterblink, I managed to get distracted and ended up being unable to focus on anything else. After a few days, I finished the fight and was ready to get back into EVE Online.

I had just started playing EVE again when The Orange Box came out. So, like the majority of gamers out there I bought if off of Steam, downloaded it and got playing. Ever since then I’ve been playing Half life 2, episodes one and two, Portal and a bit of Team Fortress 2. Just Portal alone is worth the £30 I spent on it.

With Halo 3 and The Orange Box already out and other great games coming out soon; It really is a great year to be a gamer. Not so great for our wallets, mind you.
Just a short post for today but seeing as now I will have more time to play EVE, there should be more EVE related entries on their way. If I can’t get any EVE related entries posted, I’ll try and keep you updated on other things.

On a side-note, I’ve now got a Tumblr blog where you’ll be able to find my Jaiku, Twittr, Pownce and Flickr feeds along with the RSS feed for this blog. At the moment it seems like a great place to keep my feeds. Unlike my Feedburner feed, I won’t be adding my Digg activity (for the time being anyway). So if you are subscribed to that feed purely for my Digg activity, stay with Feedburner. For everything else, I recommend you subscribe to my Tumblr feed.

The title says it all, really. Before now I had only seen fanboyism confined to forum posts and blog comments. You wouldn’t really think that these people actually own blogs but it seems they do and, to make it worse, they own blogs with their own domain names.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a Sony fan since the original PlayStation came out. I bought the PlayStation and the PlayStation 2 and loved both. It’s just when the PlayStation 3 came out that Sony went wrong. I’m sure I won’t need to tell you how, unless of course you’ve been living under a rock for the last year or so.
That said, I kind of still want a PS3. It’s just the £425 ($850) price point that’s keeping it out of my reach.

Now, I own an Xbox 360 so I’ve played the Bioshock demo. It’s an amazing game to be honest, amazing graphics, great voice acting. I honestly can’t think of a single bad thing about it. Plus, with literally all reviews giving it between 9.5/10 and 10/10 it’s becoming the highest rated game of all time.
Now imagine the hilarity when a review pops up on a site called Sony Defense Force giving it 5/10, you can only assume hilarity will ensue.

I won’t quote the entire review seeing as it’s only three paragraphs long, but this little section should give you an idea of just how much of a fanboy this person is.

[…] let this game cook in the oven just a little bit longer and wait for the superior PS3 version. Cleaned up textures, animations, AI, extra weapons, Home space, standard HDD and Blu-ray will make this flawed game into a perfect gem.

Seeing as this page was on the front page of digg earlier today and is probably still in the top 10, as I have come to expect from the digg community they’re left a multitude of hilarious comments. Such as…

Oh NOES! a 5/10, that ought drag Bioshocks metacritic rating of 99% to… oh wait… that’s right, Sony Defense Force is about as credible as Fox News.

Hey noob, how about reviewing the PC verion. Or are you afraid that the PC blows away your crappy PS3?

Madden on ps3 – 30 FPS.
Madden on 360 – 60 FPS.

Case closed fanboys.
